Orangeade

Nothing beats a cold glass of juice, especially when it is paired with the satisfaction of squeezing it yourself. We’re sharing the recipe for one of our favorite summer beverages; orangeade!

If this is your first time making orangeade, prepare for it to become a new summer tradition.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice

¾ cup of sugar

1 tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice (for a little extra tartness)

4 cups of water

Directions:

A citrus squeezer is our preferred method of juice-squeezing, but you can also yield a lot of juice simply by using a fork and rotating it in opposite directions.

In a large pot over medium heat, heat water to boiling point. Pour in sugar and stir until dissolved. This is your simple syrup!

Add your freshly squeezed juice from lemon and oranges and stir.

Add water and stir.

Pour into a container to place in refrigerator and allow to cool for about an hour.

Pour over ice and enjoy!
