How to Find the Silver Lining...
In light of the present season, we thought it would be appropriate to share on the topic of thankfulness. It’s easy to be glad when things are going well but we should also learn to be thankful for the rainy days too.
Here are a few tips for finding the silver lining on every cloudy day:
Learn & Grow
You never really know what you’re capable off until you are challenged and pushed out of your comfort zone. On those days when you feel ready to throw in the towel, remember that you’ve made it this far. Try to find a lesson in this season of your life. How can you learn and grow from this opportunity in a way that you can look back and be grateful for? Maybe you will have a chance to share advice with someone in the same situation in the future.
Notice the little things
You might be down and out but chances are there’s still something to be grateful for. If it’s not the people or the material possessions in your life, look for simpler things like the changing leaves in fall or a friendly passerby. Moving forward with thankful thoughts can alter your mood for the day and will more than likely impact the people around you for good!
Spread the love
Kindness is contagious and maybe it’s time to start an epidemic. Why not start a chain-reaction of kind deeds? Sometimes the greatest cure for the blues is lending a hand to someone else in need. Don’t overwhelm yourself with anything too drastic. Something simple like sending a card in the mail, sharing baked goods, or offering your assistance with a project can show how much you care and that you are willing to share your time and thoughts.
These minor adjustments to your day can have a widespread impact on you and your community! We hope your holiday season is full of joy, laughter, and thankfulness.
